Bedächtig Schritt um Schritt
Fuß vor Fuß setzend
Immer weiter, nur weiter
Sein Weg ohne Ziel, ohne Sinn
In den Staub nieder getreten
Um widerum aufzustehen
Vom Regen durchnässt
Um widerum trocken zu werden
Ein ewiger Kreis
ohne Anfang
ohne Sinn
Ziellos, endlos
Doch der Kreis scheint zu brechen
Sobald er erblickt dies lieblich Geschöpf
Der Funke der Liebe
Um widerum die Hoffnung zu entflammen
Als wär sie von Stroh gemacht
Greift das Feuer um sich
Freude, Frohsinn, Seeligkeit
Überwältigen sein steinernes Herz
Doch wie so oft die Hoffnung trügte
Und die Flammen wurden zu Eis
Er stürzt gen Tal, unaufhaltsam
seiner Feuerschwingen beraubt
Ein ewiger Kreis
ohne Anfang
ohne Sinn
Ziellos, endlos
Doch erhebt er sich widerum
Trauer tief in ihm
Narben ihm geschlagen
jenes lieblich Geschöpf
